Psychologist Buket Emanet Ateşer

Buket Emanet Ateşer, who graduated from two different undergraduate departments, studied them 100% in English. First she studied Sociology at Marmara University, then she graduated from Üsküdar University, Department of Psychology in 2.5 years. During her undergraduate degree in sociology, she wrote two thesis on discrimination and on spouse expectations of headscarved individuals. She worked in many advertising agencies, but after realizing that working in an advertising company was not for her, her interest in human psychology pushed her to prepare for exams and study Psychology again. While she was at Üsküdar University, she won honors and high honor certificates every semester for two and a half years.

She did her internship at Nevzat Tarhan's NP Brain Hospital and a clinic for one year.

She received trainings such as Family Counseling, Couple and Marriage Therapy, Sex Therapy, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Story Telling Therapy, Child Painting Analysis. She is equipped with therapy orientations such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transference-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing.

She is married and has published a poetry book called "The Same Things We Want to Hear", in which she and her husband share their poems.
